How Much Money Do I Actually Get From Jewelry?

I was having a conversation with one of my friends the other day and they're going ring chopping with their partner. They've just noticed that the jewelers are bringing a lot more colored stones and engagement rings to show them. Now it makes sense because God forbid something ever happens and you don't end up together. These like gems that are colored are going to be worth more when you resell them. So I think this is great for how they look but also great for our future finances.
