How Do Quarks Interact With Matter Particles?
Quarks interact with all the same particles that electrons do, plus gluons. If two corks are approaching each other, they have a lot of different ways to talk to each other. These forces exist to preserve symmetries in nature between these particles. So you could, in theory, create other universes withoutthe symmetries and without the forces, but they would be pretty boring. Check on our episode on gauged symmetry to explain more what i mean.
