The Suspension of a Fort in Louisiana

When he was in high school, the history class organized a field trip to an old civil war fort down in Louisiana. The place was called Fort Randolph, and basically, the whole thing was built on the edges of a huge swamp. Despite being destroyed by Union forces after the war, there's quite a large facility in place where tour groups can trace the layout of the fort on wooden bridges that snake through the trees.
