Are there more wildfires now than before? Yes but let's say that this is a very tricky question because we are not living every year at the same world. We cannot just compare amount of fires like every year or incidents it is not very correct because the environment is changing. There is a difference in impacting climate change and environment between fire which happens for the first time in 40 years on one area and the fires which happens every five years for example.
