The Importance of Graphic Design in Cranbrook
There were no classes at Cranbrook. You could pick and choose what you wanted to do. But the grad students were so much smarter and so much more mature. I learned so much from them. The biggest hurdle was getting over my craft, like how I'd been trained to craft everything because they were much more about ideas. It's hard enough to just teach, let alone teach people to be innovators and to really research and think for themselves.
