The Red Dragon in Welsh Mythology
A Welsh king is trying to build a castle but can't, so he asks his advisors for help. His advisors say they need to kill a boy who has no father and bring him to the site. They then find an underground pool where there's a white dragon fighting a red dragon. The red dragon will eventually defeat the white in some sort of epic battle. This becomes a major element in lots of Welsh mythologies - it was used by many princely dynasties during medieval Wales.
