The Fear of Overcompensation

The fear is, is this going to reflect badly on me? Absolutely. Because I love rap, just because I made an instrumental record, doesn't mean like, oh, well, I wanted to do a hip hop record, but without any of that rap. And honestly, a lot of people thought that that's what I had done. Here comes the highbrow kid from California, who's sitting in the library in between the music. He looks like a rave kid. So, so I spent so much time, maybe too much time, trying to contextualize for people. It definitely messed with me for quite a while.
