Forgiveness and bitterness is like pouring poison into the wound. When you pour poison into a wound, it's going to fester. It's going to be much worse than the initial wound. And so in some ways, when you hold bitterness against someone, you're paying twice because you've been wounded and now the wound's gotten infected and it has spread throughout your body. That almost can define you. i think all of us know people who are defined by bitterness. Some of us ourselves have been defined by bitterness at times. I love this quote by frederick beakner. He says, of the seven deadly sins, anger is possibly the most fun. To savor
