The anticipation of chabat, an anticipation that grows during the course of the week, i felt very strongly when i was a child. My father would go to his office to work and my mother was pianist. She woud be playing the piano, but she would stop early. And then we would go into the living room, which had windows facing west to the hudson river. That was very special. So we wed kindle the lights, and then we'd go and watch the sunset through those windows. And that's hushabut began.
