Clouds have an edge because of the change in density which is being led by the temperature difference will keep them separated. fronts like these are occurring at the edges of clouds all the time and as you're flying into a cloud then you notice that it's not so solid as it looks from the ground. In the research community we call that the twilight zone where does the cloud actually startbecause just like you're walking inside of a fog sometimes you you're like oh I'm actually inside when did that happen?
