The Constitution Doesn't Tell You All the Rights That You Have

As a teenager, hide really believed in the constitution. But after a decade of writing and performing this play, something flipped. Hide could no longer ignore all theimperfections. They were everywhere. Slavery was enshrined in the document from the beginning. It's theirs, like an original sin there that hasn't been fully dealt with. And i think facing fact that that's not true is actually the only way to create a future that's good for all us.
