Hardware Subscription

I'm intrigued about the idea of a hardware subscription programme, because i think part of me wonders if a lot of this is apple trying to get away from the idea of having to set up loans and go through a li credit check. I would be very entreated to see how whatever hardware subscription thing apple has in mind differs from what we currently have. Thank you all for your thoughts on that topic.
