The Corruption of the Intellectual Environment

I think people can be corrupted by engaging in evil with the best intentions. I'd imagine somebody who made this move and said look here these exceptional circumstances allow me to torture somebody would be corrupted by that. So I think one has to be at least a little bit circumspect about it. There is something in the climate about the way intellectuals have fallen in behind the torture brigade you know. It's pretty alarming really.
