In the Hellenistic period, the Celts lived across a broad swath of Europe into what's now Romania, Moldova, and into northern Turkey. People who worship the gods and goddesses must have communicated with them in one way or another. One of the ways that people communicated commonly is to write a letter or to write a request. The letters were just left sometimes in different places they were burned.
