The Moral Importance of Animal Uplift
The author David Bryn who writes great science fiction wrote a series of novels called the uplift series. In these books we come to live with all kinds of intelligent animals who live among us and they're working parts of society. The idea is possibly we will get to the point where we can uplift in animal species. But should we? Jay Shetty: There are far better studies that need to be done on this but I just want to make a single point here. Changes in biology never come by themselves. They're always tied to the rest of the functioning of the machinery. So if you make a heart bigger or longer legs or a head bigger then other things as well.
