The Importance of Having a Decision Log
I tend to write a lot of comments in my code. And I do it because I know there's like some debate about whether you should comment your code or not. But I think one of the things that I come up with from that is like this idea of redundancy. When you're doing that in your code, you're adding like layers of useful redundancy. It definitely feels like in the moment, you're like, oh, there's no way I would forget why I made this decision. Then like a week later, you come back and look at it and you're like,. who wrote this? Yeah, I sort of remember some of my thoughts around this.
