What You Need to Know About the Hip Bones
The pelvis can be thought of as a ring, which is useful when we come on to talk about the stability of injuries in a bit. So each of these two hip bones consists of three different bones. The acetabulum is the cup where the hip sits. And this is made up of different areas of the ilium, the pubis and the ishym. They converge into a deep cup-shaped cavity where the femoral head articulates. It's very interesting, Mr Anatomy, but it's not all about those bones, is it?
