In genesis 18 19, god says he has singled abraham out so that he will direct his sons and their families to keep the way of the lord. But look at abraham's life. The guy messes up a lot, big time. He lies about his wife in his sister, and puts her in a very dangerous, precarious situation. It's not what you would say is the ideal ather.
