The first step to merging with truth is recognizing that you don't actually want it because nobody taught you to want it. In fact, you need to wake up to your addiction to need and to lose that desire. One of my favorite Buddhist things is why am I happy? I'm happy because I know this couch is already broken. The mountains have already been leveled. It's all impermanent.
