"I have no idea what it feels like to stay or to truly be at home," he says. "My family moved for the first time when I was just out of first grade and then we continued moving every five or six years if not sooner." The landscape in upstate New York's Catskill Mountains is a lot like the Blue Ridge Mountains, where he grew up in Virginia.
