A lack of critical thinking or lacking the cognitive tools needed for critical thinking can lead to conspiracy theories. Technology, the way that we have it really isn't that old because it's so familiar. We've made extraordinary advances in almost every area of science in the past 10 years, but we still don't know everything. That's what the question mark is not satisfying to say I don't know.
