The US President Joe Biden has declared a major emergency in Hawaii following wildfires that have killed at least 36 people. The fire started in Maui from strong winds from Hurricane Dora, which took the island by surprise and forced 11,000 travelers to evacuate. Over 270 structures were damaged or destroyed, leaving dozens of people injured as well as the 36 deaths. These sort of fires have increased in their intensity because of climate change.
