The Quality of Leadership
There's a leadership example issue there too. If you are in the group and you are perhaps innovating or providing it a way where other people are benefiting, that can get rewarded just naturally as, oh, we kind of look up to you. You've demonstrated good judgment. That's the quality of leadership. The other thing that's worth saying is that like just about everything else and hunter gather a life, leadership is dispersed. They might be someone whose opinion is particularly valuable in terms of where we go to hunt, but when it comes to how to deal with a problematic child,. Other people's opinion may carry much more weight because they've demonstrated a facility in that area.
