How to Get Exposure

I know there's a lot of people out there that are extremely talented and yet they struggle to find any kind of exposure. I have a feeling that all of my work, any commissioned workers come from people finding me on Twitter. People think, well, if I just practice and practice, there's no reason why I can't achieve that.
