The Home Office's Plan to Fast Track Asylum Claims
The Home Office has a very large backlog of asylum claims. The plan was to fast track ones from countries like Yemen, war-torn countries. How is that going? It's going badly. There was this idea for a fast track and the people trying to get onto that scheme was supposed to fill out an extremely complex form. And just as what's predicted by various immigration lawyers, including Colin Yoh who many listeners this podcast might know, this form has just proved sort of impossible for people to complete correctly. Now in its typical bad faith way, the Home Office is claiming that people filled in the form deliberately badly in order to get an interview. But I think that's just an unreasonable
