Tom yachtsman: People really bought in to elizabeth holmes. She had a great way of dressing, and she captured fashion editors. The thernos lab was not that big company. It raised less than a billion dollars at its peak. That's a lot of money, but not really large by silicom valley standards. And it never had any public investors. You know, there were no mom an pops. It lost money. All the people who lost money and it were pretty sophisticated.
