The Search for the La Paz Crash Site
It takes about one day to adjust to 1,000 feet of elevation gain. The mechanics should have spent weeks getting the La Paz rather than hours. Their bodies had to catch up. Snow fell in the mountain for days as the mechanics sat in bed and the aircraft sat in pieces. But finally, the search could resume. And this time, the plan was to land at the crash site.
