Some other languages use prepositions for what might be used as case in English or in other languages. I think that might come from maybe if you take the more Latin type of construction or the more Germanic type. In Spanish, there's at least like the art persona, like, Joville Libra, Amama, or, you know, I gave the book to mom. Only Spanish does that and that's related to animacy, as I recall.
