What Was Your Journey to Abolition?

i began getting involved in a movement work around prisons while i was in high school, and was really politicized. I think being able to do that in incommunity with folks who are directly affected by the prison system was an incredible gift. The organization went througha an extended process where at the end we decided we believe in abolition as an organization. We believe in not just eliminating prisons, but in creating commun ties that are whole and sustainable and can nurture us individually and collectively.
