The Case of Padreras

Balboa had given the man a prosperous and peaceful realm, only to see it deteriorate within a year. The rivers of gold had never materialized, and Padreras had gained a reputation for being arrogant and cruel. Another theory is that Balboa was going to set up his own independent kingdom on the western side of Panama. This of course would be treason.
