Is the Corona of the Sun So Much Cooler Than the Photosphere?

Inside the sun, you have the formation of highest energy photons called gamma rays. These gamma rays undergo incredible amounts of collisions inside the sun with protons and other sub adameric particles - mostly protons. This process lasts thousands, maybe hundreds of thousands of years,. And it's only about roughly a hundred thousand years, or a million years afterwards, that the photon emerges out of the interior part of the sun.
