The Crusaders are the missionaries. The Templars were specifically holy, because they were monks, but they were also warriors. So they simultaneously prayed and trained. Prayed and killed. And so that was their whole gig. You know, that's what they were doing. Then Jerusalem was taken by Saladin. Right. I believe. There was no reason to go on crusades.
