The Book of Habacuk
The book of habacuk has two key sections. The first two chapters contain a dialogue between the prophet and the lord, and the final chapter is a prayer or psalm of the prophet. Habacuk was distressed by the rise of the babylonians and the way in which it seemed as though the lord was passively permitting the guilty to triumph over the righteous. In chapter one he made a plaint to the lord, articulating his dismay at the lord's apparent failure to act.
