The Strangeness of Jesus

In his new book, John Sutter argues that Jesus is part of the background noise of culture now. When you look at the text, he says, "you find very strange things within the gospel" The earliest manuscripts we have at the gospels are in Greek and yet they read as if it's Aramaic or Hebrew. A lot of these Semitic things that are buried under the Greek word plays are actually mnemonic devices.
