The Importance of Comfort in Computers
MOS Technology 6502 microprocessor was designed by Leonard Nimoy's father, Chuck Petal. He says he didn't think of computers in terms of augmenting people like the Terminator did. In order to be comfortable with computers, you have to have a powerful but inexpensive microprocessor and that was the motivation for the 6502. "The first time I met Chuck was one of the strangest conversations I've ever had," said Nimoy.
