The Challenges of Mining Cobalt and Lithium
There's a few issues around this. One of the key differences between oil and minerals is that minerals are created into the infra structure, and they're essentially used on an ongoing basis. And when we're talking about minerals like cobalt or lithium, there's a finite resource. By the time we get to 20 forty, it's likely that we will have to be using much more energy and tensive processes as ore grades decline. We anticipate that recycling could play a major role in the future, but we're still talking about ten to 15 % by 20 forty.
