The Importance of Sea Power on History

Alfred Thayer Mahan wrote a book about the influence of sea power on history. It's one of the very few books that gets mentioned in like a high school textbook. He pointed out how important C power was to establishing dominance, trade routes and stuff. And then they say well that book you know it was part of a general like a trend in these directions. Now of course a lot of that ends up generating a false historical idea.
