Parliament and the Reformation of the Church of England
Scots made a so called solemn league and covenant, or a kind of religious alliance, with the puritans in parliament. They wanted to reform the church of england along the same lines as the presbyterian church of scotland. The following year, they began to win more significant victories. In 16 forty four, at the battle of marston moor, parliament won its first, a big victory. And then in january 16 forty five, during a sort of winter respite, parliament forms the new model army,. where they con lidate forces from all around the country into one large army that is able to fight and engage the enemy anywhere around the country.
