Gidovsky's Second Version

The sprightly rhythm is gone, and actually the emphasis on the black keys is gone too. As Gidovsky suddenly has both hands of the piano playing arpeggios up and down. It's pretty cool, no doubt, but it emphasizes the virtuosity in a way that makes it more about the effect and the wow factor than about the music. This almost doesn't sound like Chopin anymore. Instead it's like an impression of Chopin, or a distant variation on the etude.
