The Case of Raymond Carroll
Raymond Carroll allegedly confessed to the murder of a baby in Ipswich, Australia. He said he was out stealing women's underwear when he stumbled upon an open window and abducted the child. The prison guard Swift claimed to have told has since passed away; there is no one to vouch for his story. Prosecutors were able to charge Carroll with perjury after new evidence emerged.
