Is It True in Croatian?
In English the word artful means to be sly cunning devious Machiavellian or crafty and the word crafty can mean dishonest so to pursue arts and crafts in the language itself feels like at least in English it's a fox-like thing to do. Does that sense of art being a deception in the language carry over into Croatian? I actually did want to pivot to Stalinism because the book from the start is is crafty and artful, he says. The first section of the book has the same title as the story by Boris Pymiak about how stories come to be written.
