The Importance of Asking a Question
Brent and WTI futures traded by macro fund community, speculative community who want to have some sort of skin in the game on what they consider to be a global benchmark. If that question is asked, then the whole thing falls away no matter how big the volume is. And I think this, you can put this as, like, a final absurdity. As long as there's nobody in that period, they'd say, hey, does this work? Is that value at the bottom of the third value? One of the things that to my mind would cause the demise of Brent as we know, is just a conversion between the futures and physical non-convergence.
