The Difference Between an Autopsy and a Criminal Investigation
As many as 25% of all pregnancies end in natural miscarriage. Just because the unborn are persons does not mean we would do a criminal investigation into every miscarriage. For most deaths, even of children, unless there are signs of foul play, a criminal investigation is not performed. The autopsy rate was highest for those aged 15 to 24, 62.6%, and decreasing further with each successively older age group. But some 90-year-olds will have suspicious death elements and warrant criminal investigation. That leads us to Destiny's final question: What laws should be passed if she aborted twins?
