The Importance of Telling the Story of Brigham Young
When people want to argue from the absence of evidence, they should never be definitive about it. This story, I haven't been able to find written down because it was never written down. It's written down now because he told it in these lectures and then the book was published from the lectures. But when people cited it from his book, they simply said, remember the time Brigham Young had Joseph say this to him and then cited Truman Madsen's book. Now, if someone wouldn't looked up that footnote, they would see, oh, yeah, he he's being a little hesitant with this source.
