Introduction
The airline industry currently accounts for between 2 and 4% of global emissions. The industry may start drawing more scrutiny from investors and regulators because its emissions are quote, hard to abate. Airlines have started laying out ambitious plans to lower their carbon footprints by 2030 and as an industry to hit net zero emissions by 2050. To do that, airlines offer customers some climate goodies to drop in their virtual cart when they bought tickets.
