Mindfulness Meditation

In an experiment, people were given the choice of receiving a mild electric shock or being alone with their thoughts for three minutes. The study found that most chose to be shocked rather than have their cell phone taken from them. There seems to be a rise in intention to things like meditation, especially mindfulness meditation, at least amongst neuroscientists.
