Xi Jinping is badly wounded in this sense that his prestige and authority have suffered tremendously said Willie Lamb, an expert in Chinese politics at the Chinese University of Hong Kong. His claim that the Chinese system is the best in the world is now subject to serious questioning. The political environment around the 20th party Congress is such that it was politically impossible for the system to do that because that was not how it just, I don't know, there's a problem with information flow. There're a problem with decision making process. And that's we're seeing some of the tragic consequences.
