Erica: Bolsonaro regularly makes the sign of the gun with his thumb and forefinger when he's out campaigning. He's made gun ownership one of the pillars of his political platform, she says. She asks if you're someone who sees yourself as a so-called good citizen and Bolsonaro is telling you to go out and buy a gun, what's your responsibility against them? Erica: The moral upright citizen in this vision of the world is a white heteronormative man who is protecting his home and traditional family values. And everything else that's not that or isn't aspiring to that is on the other side.
