Using Trans Thoracic Subcostal Views in a Chest Compression?
The school was able to get trans thoracic images during compressions simply by using the subcostal view that I think everyone in resuscitation is familiar with. If you see the heart during compression and it's not moving, you do something wrong. Very often it's just about moving piston or the hands or the provider to three centimeters to the left. That makes a lot of difference. And interestingly, I often find it does, it helps a lot more on the blood pressures and decompression pressures than it does on the entire procedure.
