At 23, Bob Gentry made Joe Bond vice president of a region. He then asked him to move west and open an office in Eugene, Oregon. "There wasn't even a map west at that point," he says. 'I go, the fresh air, the trees. I want to move here' The company eventually bought two competitors but it's not legal to do so anymore.
